Primus (Transformers One) (2024)

Primus is the overarching protagonist of the 2024 Science Fiction Action film Transformers One. He is the creator of the Thirteen Primes who gave up his life to protect the universe and become Cybertron.

Appearance[]

Primus is a giant robotic deity with heavily armoured shoulders and undersized hands, he bears a notable resemblance to his G1 counterpart.

History[]

Primus was a deity who used his essence to create a species called "Transformers": sentient robots with the ability to transform into anything, though while he deemed all his creations special, the first 13 of them: The Primes, were his most powerful and swore to protect the planet. To ensure his species thrived, Primus also gave them a special item that the Transformers would be dub the Matrix of Leadership: a vessel that gives its wielder his own power and allowed the natural power source to flow forever.

For millions of years Primus and his children lived a peaceful life in their corner of the Universe, but that all changed when another more hostile alien race known as the Quintessons discovered them and desiring to claim the Energon for themselves, fought them in a stalemate-war. Eventually the Primes got word that there was going to be a secret-meeting of Quintesson commanders in a cave and went there to take them down & end the war, but once they got there they discovered too late that it was an ambush and prompted them to fight. But just as the were on the verge of winning they discovered to their shock that this ambush was a trap laid by their enemies and their own Chief Advisor Sentinel who had grown envious of their power of Cybertron and helped kill them all, with only one Prime being left alive.

Enraged over seeing this act of betrayal and watching the evil Cybertronian try and claim the Matrix for himself to get ahold of its power so he can rule over all of Cybertron, Primus immediately deemed him unworthy of it and caused it to vanish from his hands, which then stopped Energon from flowing. But with no other witnesses for his evil act, Sentinel falsely announced to the rest of the Transformer society that he was a Prime now and made himself their new leader, he then moved the entire population underground.

He then began ripping out the cogs from all new Transformers while letting his most loyal followers keep theirs, and with no cogs he would then have most of the population mine for Energon all while secretly giving away most of them to the Quintessons, something that would continue on for 50 cycles.

Fortunately, Primus would eventually discover a Transformer fit to be the new leader of Cybertron's future in the form of a brave bot named Orion Pax, whose colossal optimism would soon lead to him discovering Sentinel's true colors and bring about his end. But in doing so he would unknowingly push his best friend D-16 down the dark path and let his gravely wounded body fall down to the Planet's core and he became the vicious warlord Megatron. But while this happened, Primus saw Orion worthy of being the newest Prime and just before he succumbed to his wounds, he saved him from being killed and bestowed the Matrix of Leadership to him and thus becoming the Prime Cybertron waited for: Optimus Prime, reviving him and ushering in a new age for Cybertron.

Powers and abilities[]

• Creation: Primus was able to create many ecosystems within Cybertron.
• Immortality: Like other incarnations, he is capable of living for eternity in his planet form.
• Nigh-Omnipotence: He was able to revive Orion and turn him into a Prime.
• Allspark: He used spark to revive Orion with the Matrix of Leadership.
